Year Three had a super day full of history and visited Richmond and explored the ruins of the Norman Richmond Castle.
Last week, despite the rain, Year Three had a super day full of history. We visited Richmond and explored the ruins of the Norman Richmond Castle. As part of our day, we climbed to the top of the great keep and had our picnic lunch in the 'throne room'. There were some interesting artefacts for the children to investigate and some medieval costumes to try on too.
Well done to the children who smiled throughout the soggy day and learned all about when, where and why the castle was built.
