  • Year 4 Quikstiks Competition - Sept '25
    Nine pupils from Year 4 went to Thirsk School yesterday to compete against another 10 local primary schools. They had a very successful afternoon finishing 3rd overall and winning bronze medals. They made us very proud.
  • Harvest Festival - October2025
    Thank you very much for all your very kind donations towards our Harvest Festival. Our contributions were collected by Community Works in Thirsk.
  • Year 4 Visit to Bradford Science and Media Museum
    Class 4 had a trip to Bradford to visit the Bradford Science and Media Museum. We explored sound through hands on experimentation and lively exhibits.
  • Years 5/6 Quikstiks Competition - Sept '25
    A group of Year 5 and Year 6 children were taken to Thirsk School to take part in a Quiksticks hockey tournament against local schools. One of our team members was awarded a special medal for 'super fair and honest play'.
  • Class 3 Trip to North Yorks Moor Railway - Sept '25
    Class 3 recently had an exciting visit to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. We travelled on one of the steam trains to Goathland and had a picnic at the park.  The children were super ambassadors for our school.
  • Class 2 Multiskills - Sept '25
    On Thursday some children from Class 2 went to Multiskills.  They worked well as a team and were  perfect role models for the school! 
  • Class 2 Trip to Thirsk Racecourse - Sept '25
    Class 2 had a fabulous day at Thirsk Racecourse.   They measured the perimeter of the parade ring, explored the weighing room, watched some racing and dressed up as jockeys.  Well done Class 2!   
  • Herriot Hospice - July 25
    The Yr 6 children have been taking part in a Community Arts Project with Thirsk Arts Society and Herriot Hospice at the Lambert in Thirsk. Rosie Page (James Herriot's daughter) came to talk to Class 6 the hospice and to thank them for their hard work.
  • Class R visit to Newby Hall
    Class R had a fabulous day at Newby Hall.  We had great fun in the Gruffalo woods, on the train and in the adventure park.  We just about managed to keep cool with shady walks, ice creams and water fountains.
  • KS1 Multiskills - July 25
    Last week 11 of our KS1 children thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon of multi-sports, at Thirsk School, along with other local primary schools.
