Year 5 had a great trip to York Castle Museum and Clifford's Tower this week as part of our History crime and punishment topic.
We went into cells that were once inhabited by prisoners, including the infamous Dick Turpin. We learnt lots about the inmates and crimes through history. At Clifford's Tower, we learnt about the leader of a rebellion (Robert Aske) who was hung in chains for leading an uprising against Henry VIII.
The weather was fantastic and we learnt a lot about History.
Many thanks to our parent helpers, your help is greatly appreciated.
