News Stories- Class R visit to Herb Farm - June '25
Class R had a wonderful morning at the Herb Farm. We enjoyed tasting herbs and edible flowers, planted seeds and searched for good bugs and bad bugs. Everyone took home a punnet of freshly picked flowers. - Year 3 Roseberry Topping Sponsored Climb - May '25
As part of their geography learning, Class 3 went to Roseberry Topping and climbed the steep path to the summit. They made their adventure a sponsored climb. So far £492 has been raised for Mountain Rescue. - Year 6 Visit to Teesmouth - May '25
The Year 6 children had a wonderful visit to the Teesmouth Field Centre before half term. They learnt about the journey of the River Tees and how the transporter bridge worked. It was a great end to SATs week! - Year 4 Tchoukball - May '25

Oh, we do like to be beside the seaside, especially as a class at East Barnby! Class 4 had a fantastic time canoeing, hunting for aliens and fossils, building wilderness camps, cooking marshmallows, climbing, and even skiing down a dry ski slope. - Year 3 Dynamo Cricket - May '25
Our Yr 3 team of cricketers had a good afternoon of competition against teams from other local schools. It was a good experience for all of them, some 6s were scored and excellent catches made. - 80 Years VE Day Celebrations - 8th May 2025
Children and staff all joined in the spirit of the day and dressed in red, white and blue to mark the 80th Anniversary of VE Day.
 - Thirsk Rugby Club Visit School - May '25
The children all enjoyed a visit by James from Thirsk Rugby Club, last week. He took each class for a rugby session. We will be visited again for more rugby sessions during our Sports Week in July. - Years 5/6 Cricket Competition - May '25
Another very enjoyable, and hot, afternoon was had by our Yrs 5/6 Cricket Team yesterday at Thirsk High School. They came joint fourth overall. Thomas got a special award for being a valuable all round player. Well Done everyone.
