News Stories- Year 3 Dynamo Cricket - May '25
Our Yr 3 team of cricketers had a good afternoon of competition against teams from other local schools. It was a good experience for all of them, some 6s were scored and excellent catches made. - 80 Years VE Day Celebrations - 8th May 2025
Children and staff all joined in the spirit of the day and dressed in red, white and blue to mark the 80th Anniversary of VE Day.
 - Thirsk Rugby Club Visit School - May '25
The children all enjoyed a visit by James from Thirsk Rugby Club, last week. He took each class for a rugby session. We will be visited again for more rugby sessions during our Sports Week in July. - Years 5/6 Cricket Competition - May '25
Another very enjoyable, and hot, afternoon was had by our Yrs 5/6 Cricket Team yesterday at Thirsk High School. They came joint fourth overall. Thomas got a special award for being a valuable all round player. Well Done everyone. - Year 3 Visit to Carlton Lodge - Apr '25
Class Three enjoyed a lovely sunny morning at Carlton Lodge to launch their Marvellous Mountains topic. They completed exciting activities including orienteering, bushcraft, climbing and map reading. Well done everyone. - Years 3/4 Football Competition - Apr '25
Our Yrs 3/4 Girls Football Team had a very enjoyable afternoon of football at Thirsk High School, last week, competing against other local primary schools. They did Carlton Miniott Academy proud. - Easter Competition
We had so many decorated Easter Hats and Eggs to judge, it was quite a task to only pick two from each class!
Well done everyone who took part, we could tell you had all put in a lot of effort and hard work into your creations. - Years 5/6 Hi 5 Netball Competition
Our Netball team recently had a very successful afternoon at Thirsk High School competing against other local primary schools. They played 6 matches and won every one! Therefore, coming home with the winners trophy and a gold medal each. Well Done! - Music for Life - March '25
We were pleased to be visited by a trio of talented jazz musicians, called 6pac Jazz, who performed for the whole school and introduced the children to the double bass, piano and drums. Thank you for a very enjoyable day. - Wensleydale Tournament of Music and Speech
32 Choir members attended and their dedication and hard work paid off as they came first in the Choral Singing. Three of the events’ scores were combined and we came joint first, sharing the Margery Burrill Challenge Cup. How amazing to achieve this!
