  • Year 5 Brass Concert - Monday 27th March
    After 12 weeks of practising on the trumpet or trombone, we had the pleasure of listening to the Year 5 children perform their pieces to an audience.  They performed as a class, in trios and some were brave enough to play solo.
  • 'Wensleydale Tournament of Music and Speech' - Friday 24th March
    The School Choir attended the 'Wensleydale Tournament of Music and Speech' in Leyburn.  They had a very successful day. 
  • Class R Sponsored Spell - 17th March '23
    In today's assembly Class R were delighted to present Thirsk Blue Cross with the amazing amount of £693, which they raised, last term, by doing a sponsored spell.
  • Netball Competition - 16th March '23
    Our Year 6 team competed in a local Netball Competition against other primary schools. They played brilliantly in all 5 matches and finished with a fantastic 2nd place overall.
  • Class 3 Visit to Harlow Carr - 15th March '23
    Class 3 visited RHS Harlow Carr as part of their Science project, learning about plants.
  • World Book Day - 3rd March '23
    Today was our World Book Day. Our special assembly was led by our very own Miss Trunchbull who was assisted by different villains from books. The whole day caused lots of excitement around school.
  • Dodgeball Competition
    Our Dodgeball Team competed at Thirsk School against local schools and were very proud of their 3rd place medals.
  • Dance Workshop
    To help celebrate World Book Day our Reception and KS1 children enjoyed Dance workshops with a professional dancer from 'West End in Schools.'  They brought the book, 'Where the Wild Things Are,' to life through movement, gesture and dance.
  • Cross Country
    Well done to the 40 children that took part in the area Cross Country Competition. All the runners did brilliantly well. We had 2 first places, 1 second and 1 third place.
  • Visit to Segedunum Roman Fort
    Class 4 visited Segedunum Roman Fort, in Wallsend, as part of their Roman project.
